Panchase Trek

6 Days

This short trek is an ideal way to explore the area around Pokhara. Moreover, it is a perfect trek for those who have little time or have never done a trekking before. During the Panchase trek you will get to know the village life in the mountains while enjoying great views of the surrounding mountains. It is a low profile trekking, so you will hardly meet any other trekkers!

After a quiet boat trip on Lake Phewa you will start with a short climb through the woods up to the World Peace Pagoda. This Japanese pagoda is part of a series of 80 pagodas that were built all over the world. It is a Buddhist stupa for inspiration for world peace. You will be rewarded with a beautiful view over the Annapurnas, Machhapuchare (Fishtail), Dhaulagiri and Manaslu. These mountains form the backdrop of your trek as you walk through the forests and past a number of villages where you will become acquainted with the daily life of the locals.

The highest point of the Panchase trek is the Panchase hill, at just under 2500 metres. From here you can enjoy a breathtaking sunrise early in the morning over the snowy Himalayan peaks.
